Richard M. Smith, DDS

Meet Dr. Smith
I strive to provide my patients with the very best care possible, with the ultimate goal of creating a lasting, happy relationship. I feel fulfilled and rewarded at the end of the day knowing my patients have received the best dentistry I could provide them.
Education and Experience
I have been practicing dentistry for 36 years. After graduating from Loma Linda University with my Doctorate of Dental Surgery, I came to Bridgewater after having purchased the late Dwight Shull’s dental practice on College Street. I worked for five years in that small building before building Parkside Family Dentistry in 1992.
Outside the Office
A native of Takoma Park, Maryland, I now reside on a small farm in Weyer’s Cave, Virginia with my wife, Bonnie. Between the two of us we have seven children and 13 grandchildren with whom I thoroughly enjoy spending time. I also like being outdoors and working with my hands, doing woodwork, and utilizing wood gleaned from my property. In addition, I am deeply involved with my church running its audio-visual system.
